Recording Life Stories: Capture the Hidden Past
An introductory course on collecting oral histories

New courses are being launched to encourage people from all walks of life to record and preserve the histories and traditions of their families and communities.

Participants will learn how to:

•    Capture people’s memories for posterity
•    Build effective interviewing skills
•    Gain competence to carry out oral history interviews
•    Become familiar with digital recording methods
•    Learn about copyright
•    Make use of the recordings.

There will only be a maximum of 12 people on the course to ensure best results for participants.

6 consecutive 2 hours evening sessions
Cost: standard rate: £180, concession rate: £140
